IDF Rescue Operation in Turkey
Reinforcement Team to Depart For Turkey (18 August 1999). A reinforcement team will depart today (18 August) at 14:00 from an IAF base in Israel and will join the Homefront Command rescue forces present in the city of Golcuk, in Turkey. The team will leave following assessment of the situation in the field by the team commander, Maj. Gen. Gabi Ofir.

The IDF humanitarian assistance mission for refugees from Kosovo
Early Tuesday Morning (6 April), the Israel Defense Forces will dispatch a field hospital, under IDF Medical Corps Command , to assist Albanian refugees from Kosovo. This will mark the beginning of an operation to save human lives.
