Latin America A Major Success Story
Brazil, Argentina, Peru, Ecuador, Venezuela, Costa Rica Honduras, El Salvador, Panama, Guatemala - have all benefited from JAIP training workshops, being in many of these countries the first introduction of school based AIDS education.
Nepal - prevention on the Himalayas
Working with National AIDS Programs, through collaborative agreements with UN agencies and bi-lateral donors, is a common practice. Nepal's first training workshops for teachers on school AIDS education were carried-out by JAIP experts.
Philippines - NGO collaboration
In South-East Asia, working with KABALIKAT in Manila, and with Dr Reuben Angeles in Davao, JAIP team has developed a fruitful collaboration with NGOs, which introduced HIV/AIDS education into their country's school system.
New challenges in Eastern Europe
JAIP is keeping paste with new developments and trends in HIV around the world. The focus on prevention in Eastern Europe and the Central Asian states, includes emphasis on substance use.
